Zahry graduated with a degree of Bachelor of Science (HBP) from USM in 1979. He obtained his M. Sc. (Architecture and Building Science) from Strathclyde University, Glasgow and has been a lecturer at the School of HBP since 1982. He is currently Chairman of the Engineering and Building Science Programme. His areas of specialization are Building Science and Computer Aided Design.
